What To Expect
Deafhood 101 will awaken something in you. You'll discover a new way to see yourself personally, socially, and professionally. Together, we will learn more about the hidden discourses influencing Deaf people and our education. You will finish with a better understanding of the unlimited potential of our Deaf people and the power within.
Dates: Every Monday from April 26 to July 5, 2021 (10 weeks, except for Memorial Day)
Time: 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm CST

DeAnna
DeAnna Swope is a southern Deaf Belle born to a hearing family and is happily married with five children. She has been a lifelong advocate in the Deaf community. DeAnna is excited to see how Deafhood will manifest person-hoods and looks towards witnessing their life changing process.
Butch
Butch Zein has hosted several workshops the past few years and is one of the founding board members of The Deafhood Foundation. He believes by taking Deafhood classes, we will become liberated and empowered to make positive changes within the Deaf Community.
